If you are 60 or older, you may qualify for a monthly food basket from God’s Pantry.
Baskets are delivered every fourth Thursday at the Farmers Market at the Martin County Extension office.
Requirements to receive the basket include:
• Proof of income from all household members — Social Security verification letter, pension or retirement notification, etc. (bank statements are not considered as proof of income);
• Residency in Martin County — a bill with your name and current address;
• Proof of identity — driver’s license or ID card;
• A completed application.
God’s Pantry will be taking applications during the next delivery date, May 26, at 1:30 p.m. at the Farmers Market.
If you are eligible, meet all requirements, and have your paperwork, there may be available baskets May 27.
God’s Pantry keeps all copies of the paperwork, so do not bring originals.
If you have questions or want an application, call Shelia at 606-298-4021.
