INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:
Andy Stacy, 72, and Larry Jude, 58, both of Inez, were arrested Monday on KY 292 in Inez on charges of possession of a controlled substance, first degree (drug unspecified) and possession of a controlled substance. Additionally, Stacy was charged with careless driving.
Deputy Justin Bellamy observed Stacy traveling on KY 292 from Yellow Creek toward Turkey Creek, crossing the center line and driving directory over it for a period. Upon stopping Stacy, the deputy located oxycodone pills, gabapentin pills, and a small plastic bag containing a white powdery substance. Stacy allegedly said the substance was a crushed pill. According to the police report, Larry Jude was the only passenger in the vehicle. Both denied ownership of any of the drugs.
Bryan Moore, 54, of Debord, was arrested Sunday at America’s Quick Mart in Inez for operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest after seeing Moore while the sheriff knew his operator’s had been suspended.
Eddie Dean Mills, 54, of Inez, was arrested Sunday on Meadowlark Lane in Inez for assault fourth degree (domestic violence), minor injury.
Sheriff Kirk responded to a call from a female stating she and her husband were fighting. When the sheriff arrived at the scene, the female stated her husband had pulled her hair and hit her. The sheriff noted visible red spots on her chest and neck and a scrape on her ankle. She stated her husband broke her glasses. Mills said his wife started the argument and had scratched his back. He had scratch marks on his back. His wife said she was defending herself.
Gabriel Cooper, 30, of Paintsville, was arrested Sunday at Warfield Park on a warrant from Martin District Court.
Jeremy David Harmon, 44, of Lovely, was arrested Friday at the Dollar General in Warfield on a warrant for court. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
Britley Blackburn, 32, of Bulan, was arrested Sunday at McDonalds on Blacklog Road, Inez, on a warrant for court. Deputy J.C. Kirk made the arrest.
Coby Barton, 32, of Pikeville, was arrested Saturday at McDonald’s on Blacklog Road, Inez, on a warrant from Perry Circuit Court. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
Tasha Horn, 42, of Inez, was arrested Saturday on Newberry Lane in Inez on a bench warrant. Deputy Kidd made the arrest.
Roy Maynard, 48, of Tomahawk, was arrested Aug. 21 on KY 292 in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd observed Maynard driving by Warfield Tobacco on a loud ATV when Maynard took his eyes off the road and swerved back to the center. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and determined that Maynard was impaired.
Charles Crum, 41, of Debord, was arrested Aug. 20 on East Main Street in Inez on a warrant for court. Deputy Billy Wells made the arrest.
Jeremy Jude, 28, of Tomahawk, was arrested Aug. 20 on Old Route 3 in Inez for driving on a DUI-suspended license and traffic charges. Deputy Bellamy saw Jude operating a motorcycle with no operational taillight. Upon stopping Jude, the officer learned his license had been DUI-suspended.
