The Martin County Early Learning Bus is bringing vision, hearing and speech screenings to the Library/Collier Center and Dempsey Housing Complex.
Screenings are set for Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Library/Collier Center in Inez.
On Aug. 30, screenings take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dempsey Housing Complex in Warfield.
The Early Learning Bus, which started last year, is an opportunity for children ages 3-5 years old who are not currently enrolled in Head Start or a preschool program.
This mobile learning center allows children to have a fun educational experience in an early childhood classroom.
The bus has a full-time teacher, Kayla Jude, who delivers developmentally appropriate educational activities such as storytime, music, art, literacy and fine/gross motor activities.
Join the bus daily at the following locations:
- Monday – Library/Collier Center in Inez.
- Tuesday – Dempsey Housing Complex.
- Wednesday – Tomahawk Fire Department.
- Thursday – Pigeon Roost Community Center.
- Friday – Dempsey Housing Complex.
