Steve Parks

1964—2024

Steve Parks, 60, of Cabin Knoll Fork, Pikeville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

Born March 30, 1964, in Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of Charles L. and Edna Anderson Parks.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward Parks.

Steve was a truck driver for Judith Trucking in Pikeville and a member of the Sweet Home Old Regular Baptist Church in Clintwood, Virginia.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Julia Stacy Parks of Pikeville; daughters Amanda (Wesley) Leonard of Blountville, Tennessee, Michelle (Mitchell) Fitch of Martin, Calista (Jennifer) Clevinger Parks of Clay City, Stacy (Billy) Meade of Lick Creek and Destiny Parks of Pikeville; and grandchildren Zechariah Fitch, Jeremiah Fitch, Hannah Fitch, Harley Meade, Kameron Hunt and Julianna Leonard. Steve also leaves behind his brothers, Ernest Parks and Randy Parks, both of Feds Creek, and Robert Parks of Sidney; a sister, Janet Hackney of Big Rock, Virginia; and a special friend, Betty Mullins.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church in Pikeville, with special services at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will conducted at noon Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at the church. Burial will follow at the Davidson Memorial Park in Ivel. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
