Martin County golfers finish strong

The Martin County Lady Cardinals and Cardinals had a strong showing in a 9-hole golf match Aug. 6 at Stonecrest Golf Course.

Kenadie Evans and Jaylee Deskins led the Lady Cards to a strong finish. Evans secured first place with a score of 40, while Deskins finished second with a 45.

The boys team also had a solid showing. Ryder Duncan shot a 56, Drew Wilson posted a 53 and Avery Duncan carded a 49.

Both the Lady Cards and the Cardinals will compete in the Paintsville Invitational Tournament on Aug. 17 at Paintsville Golf Course.
