Lacy Albert Jude Sr.
1952—2024
Minister Lacy Albert Jude Sr., 71, of Spring Lane, Warfield, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, at his home.
Born Oct. 24, 1952, in Pilgrim, he was the son of the late Harrison and Ollie Maynard Jude.
Lacy is preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Jeremy Jude Jr., as well as his siblings, Bill, David, Elijah, Thomas Jefferson, George, Floyd, Joseph, Harrison Jr., Charlie, Louise, Eilleen Easter and Virgie.
He was a coal miner, landscaper and carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and ministering God’s word at Golden Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Stone Coal, West Virginia.
Lacy is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Gladys Vivian Maynard Jude, as well as his children: Lacy Albert Jr. (Maria) Jude of Rockhouse, Amanda Ellen Jude of Prestonsburg and Melissa Ann Jude of Belfry; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Vicki Jean Luther of Pilgrim and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with George Isaac Jude officiating. Burial followed at the Jude-Maynard Cemetery in Huntleyville.
