Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Sarah Fraley

Sarah Fraley, 38, of Ashland, was arrested Friday on Main Street in Inez on two warrants out of Lawrence County and one from Boyd County. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.

Eric Sartin

Eric Sartin, 27, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested July 25 on Gordon Hollow Road in Beauty for fourth-degree assault causing minor injury. Sheriff Kirk was dispatched to Beauty Road and Gordon Hollow for a fight in progress. At the scene, Edward Holshue told the sheriff that he was assaulted by a man that he gave a ride. He said the man began assaulting him by striking him in the face and head for no reason. Holshue had two other passengers in the back seat who witnessed Sartin assaulting Holshue for no reason. Sartin stated Holshue hit him first, but the witnesses said otherwise.

George Douglas English

George Douglas English, 53, of Warfield, was arrested July 25 at Family Dollar in Warfield for public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Sheriff Kirk reported English was sitting on the sidewalk at the Family Dollar, had slurred speech and failed a sobriety test. English allegedly stated he had smoked marijuana earlier.

Jackie Ray McKinnon

Jackie Ray McKinnon, 44, of Tomahawk, was arrested July 25 at the Routes 40 and 1880 intersection in Tomahawk on a bench warrant from Floyd and Martin counties. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Lawrence Ratcliff

Lawrence Ratcliff, 38, of Crum, West Virginia, was arrested July 23 on Main Street on an indictment warrant. Deputy Dennis Hall made the arrest.

Jonathan Mollett

Jonathan Mollett, 36, of Louisa, was arrested July 23 on Route 40 in Tomahawk on three warrants for court. Deputy Kidd made the arrest.

Brittany Preston, 32, of Tomahawk, was arrested July 23 at Stepp Bottom in Inez for public intoxication. Deputy Kidd responded to a report of a female walking intoxicated. He reported that Preston appeared under the influence. She allegedly stated she used methamphetamine “hours ago.”

Eric Preston

Eric Preston, 35, of Tomahawk, was arrested July 23 at Stepp Bottom in Inez for public intoxication. Deputy Kidd responded to a call reporting a male walking intoxicated. The deputy stated Preston was clearly under the influence of a substance. Preston allegedly stated that he and Brittany Preston had “snorted meth.”

Heather Mollett

Heather Mollett, 34, of Tomahawk, was arrested July 23 on Route 40 in Inez for endangering the welfare of a minor. Deputy Kidd was called to a residence for a minor female who had possibly overdosed. When the officer arrived the minor was sitting on the porch, appearing to go in and out of consciousness. Mollett, the child’s mother, handed the officer a pill bottle (olanzapine) and stated the minor had taken them while she was gone. Upon further investigation the officer found the minor had accessed the back bedroom, established as Mollett’s room, where a basket full of prescription pills sat on the dresser in plain sight. The officer determined the juvenile had three prior incidents.

Claudetta Mills

Claudetta Mills, 39, of Tomahawk, was arrested July 23 on Tomahawk Road on a warrant. Deputy Kidd made the arrest.
