Harold Dorsey Fields
1942—2024

Harold Dorsey Fields, 81, of Whitehouse, passed away July 27, 2024, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 30, 1942, to the late Luther and Neva Fields.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Luther Bob Fields.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Billie Jean Marcum Fields, and their four children: Harold Dorsey (Joni) Fields II of Whitehouse; Jacqueline (Clay) Crum of Inez; Dottie (Eddie) Stepp of Inez; and Angela Fields of Whitehouse. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Eddie Joe Stepp Jr., Lorne Crum, Mia Fields and Brock Fields, and one great-grandchild, Brayden Stepp. Additionally, he leaves behind his two sisters, Ruth Ann Hughes and Peggy Mollett, both of Inez.

Known affectionately as Dorsey, he found his greatest joy in spreading the gospel and fulfilling the calling on his life. He spoke to everyone he met about the love of Jesus.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez with Dorsey Fields II and Dottie Stepp officiating. Burial followed at the Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
