INEZ — Over 250 people came out Saturday morning for the Kiwanis Club’s Hillbilly Breakfast in the Inez Elementary School cafeteria.

Kiwanis president Melissa Fannin Phelps said it was the most successful Hillbilly Breakfast to date.

“We are thankful,” Phelps said. “It was a wonderful time of fellowship and delicious food.”

Phelps expressed thanks to sponsors.

“We are so thankful to IGA for sponsoring the food, as they have done for many, many years,” said Phelps. “We are also thankful to the Mountain Citizen for taking care of all our advertising needs. Thank you to all those businesses and individuals who bought a spot on our placemat.”

All of the proceeds from the event benefit the children in our community, including the Kiwanis scholarship fund.

“We are blessed with a wonderful community who comes out to support us each and every year,” said Phelps.
