PRESTONSBURG — The Adult Education Program at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) celebrated the graduation of 118 students for the 2023-2024 academic year in a ceremony held at the Gearheart Auditorium on the Prestonsburg Campus.
The event, attended by approximately 200 family members and friends, featured guest speaker Matthew Michalovic, Assistant County Attorney at the Floyd County Attorney’s Office and a proud GED graduate.
Michalovic inspired graduates with his journey from earning his GED to becoming a key figure in the legal community.
BSCTC announced that 33 graduates have already entered post-secondary institutions. Additionally, 129 adult education students earned the Kentucky Essential Skills Certificate, 133 completed a Financial Literacy Program, and 237 achieved Digital Literacy Certificates.
