LEXINGTON — Martin County’s Bryson Dials and Connor Dials traveled to the University of Kentucky to play in the 2024 KHSAA state tennis tournament in the singles division May 28.

Connor was matched against Landon McDuffee from Daviess County in the round of 64. The Martin County player put up a valiant fight but fell 6-2, 6-0.

Bryson took on Reggie Bechtel of Ashland Blazer High School. The multi-sport athlete faced stiff competition but was defeated 6-0, 6-0.

The two Cardinals represented Martin County well and hope to return next year.
