Maxine Stroud Dingess
1947—2024

Maxine Stroud Dingess, 77, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Born March 6, 1947, in Wayne County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Verlie Parsley Stroud.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy and Lynn Raines; three brothers, Robert Stroud, Jess Stroud and Lealand Stoud; and three sisters, Christine Marcum, Wanda E’Slick and Nancy Lee Ida Mae Marcum.

She was employed by Marrowbone Headstart, where she worked for over 20 years.

Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James “Jim” Dingess; one daughter, Kimberly Ruth Raines and her husband Eric Beaudry of New Hampshire; and three siblings, Irene (Claude) Marcum, Leonard Ray (Hilda) Stroud and Mary Ransom.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield, with Ken Allen and Bob Perry officiating. Burial was at the Perry Point Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
