PRESTONSBURG — The CLIMB-Health team secured first place and a $1,000 prize in the Big Sandy Community and Technical College Educational Foundation’s 14th annual William G. Duke Golf Scramble.

CLIMB-Health team members include Will Branham, Mikeal Fannin, Ryan Martin and Jon Mark Tackett.

The Ferguson team, made up of Will Boyd, Brett James, Austin Sloan and Mike Stanley, took second place and won $500.

The event took place May 10 at Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg.

Before the scramble began, Kelli Martin, executive director of the BSCTC Educational Foundation, addressed the attendees. She emphasized the significance of supporting education and workforce training and thanked the sponsors and golfers for their dedication to providing opportunities for students.
