Ora Jean (Stepp) Dials
1937—2022
Ora Jean Dials, age 84, of Tomahawk, passed away April 18, 2022, at her residence.
Born June 23, 1937, in Inez, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Stepp and Melvina Colvin Stepp. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer C. Dials; one brother, Fonson Stepp; three sisters, Olivene Stepp (Henry) Blackburn, Sabra Stepp Hatfield and Ida Loretta Stepp (Clyde) Testerman; two sons-in-law, David Brammer and Gerald Thomas; and one grandchild, Chloe Madison Brammer.
She is survived by her son, Paul Douglas (Lori) Dials of Stamping Ground; three daughters, Beverly Sue Dials Thomas (Jerry) Fugate of Wittensville, Myra Cheryl Dials Brammer of Culloden, W.Va., and Patricia Lynne Dials (Terry) Johnson of Columbia; a special friend who was close as a son, Scott Adkins; one brother, Wendell (Ruby) Stepp of Inez; one sister-in-law, Faye Stepp; and one brother-in-law, Acey Dials. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Nathaniel Paul (Jayme) Dials of Paintsville and Ethan Douglas Dials of West Liberty; two great-grandchildren, Lillian Owens and Samuel Cole Dials; and a host of step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was conducted Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Elmer and Jean Dials Cemetery in Tomahawk, with Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
