Keilan Jewell is the Tommy’s Auto Sales Player of the Week.

Jewell plays catcher for the Martin County High School Lady Cards softball team. Her outstanding performance lifted the Lady Cards to victory over Betsy Layne last week.

Jewell’s game-winning hit came in the top of the seventh inning Thursday. With the score deadlocked at 6-6, two outs and bases loaded, the junior smashed a double to the center field fence, driving in three runs to secure the win.

In a closely contested game May 2 against Magoffin County, Jewell went 2-3 at the plate, including a double and single, and drove in a run.
