Steven Michael Tackett
Jordan Thomas McCoy

Steven Michael Tackett, 26, of Genoa, West Virginia, and Jordan Thomas McCoy, 20, of Paintsville, were arrested May 1 in Inez after a domestic dispute turned violent. The altercation occurred on Setser Road in Tomahawk and resulted in minor injuries.

Deputy Bellamy responded to the incident. According to his report, Tackett told officers he had only tried to restrain McCoy by wrapping his arms around him. Tackett also claimed that McCoy’s father, Henry McCoy, intervened, pulling him to the ground and assaulting him with kicks and punches.

However, both McCoys disputed this account. They told police that the fight was mutual between Tackett and Jordan McCoy and that Henry McCoy had stepped in only to break up the altercation.

The fight left Jordan McCoy with a busted lip and Tackett with bruises and scratches on his shoulder, arms and elbow.
