Avis (Hay) Adams
1948—2024

Avis (Hay) Adams, 75, passed peacefully from this life April 27, 2024, at her home in Louisa, with her loved ones by her side.

Born June 27, 1948, in Hilliard, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William G. Hay and Tora Mae Hay. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Clyde Haye and Clynard Hay.

She lived in Columbus, Ohio, and worked as a printing press plate maker until she retired and moved back to Louisa to be with her family. She enjoyed crafting, bingo, traveling, and baking during the holidays with her family to create memories.

Survivors include her daughter, Lawana Marcum (John Paul) of Louisa, and her grandchildren, John William Marcum and Lydia Holbrook (Jake) of Louisa. She was a Gigi to four great-grandchildren: Zane Marcum, Ariana Marcum, Ezra Holbrook and Eli Holbrook. She also leaves behind her sister, Lenora Agnes Williams, of West Jefferson, Ohio.

Her family and friends will always remember her for her laughter and smile and for always being up for an adventure.

Per her wishes, there will be no service at this time. A private service to honor her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
