NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — Tug Valley scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, five more in the sixth and defeated Cross Lanes Christian 8-3 in softball action April 22.

Makenna Osborne, Hailey Newsome and Megan Griffey all had two hits for the Lady Panthers. Bailee Hall and Tailyn Russell also had hits. Hall belted a double and Griffey legged out a triple.

Hall once again got the pitching win. She also had a couple of RBIs to help out the TV offense.

C. Witt took the loss for Cross Lanes, while E. Malcomb led CLCHS with two hits.

Tug Valley 16, Van 0

VAN, W.Va. — The Lady Panthers of Tug Valley clawed the Lady Bulldogs of Van 16-0 in a mercy-rule victory April 24.

Bailee Hall was once again the winning pitcher and did not allow any hits.

Hall and Amelya Wellman led the offense with two hits each. Wellman belted a double and triple and Hall and R. Mills had doubles. Jessica Spaulding and Makenna Osborne also had base hits in the game.

Sherman 10, Tug Valley 1

NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — Sherman took an early 4-0 lead and went on to defeat Tug Valley 10-1 in softball action April 26.

Bailee Hall, Jessica Spaulding, Amelya Wellman and Tailyn Russell each had hits for TVHS. Russell’s smack was a double.

Hall took the pitching loss for the Lady Panthers.

E. Russell got the pitching win in the circle for the Tide. She struck out eight Panthers batters.

Tug Valley 17, Braxton County 2

NAUGTUCK, W.Va. — Tug Valley rolled over visiting Braxton County 17-2 on Saturday, April 20.

The Lady Panthers scored those runs with only six hits, as walks and errors hurt Braxton County.

Tailyn Russell and Haileign Muncy both had two hits for TVHS. One of Muncy’s hits was a double. Amelya Wellman and Lisa Spaulding also had hits for Tug Valley.

Bailee Hall was the winning pitcher.

E. Nicholson was the losing pitcher for BCHS. They only had one hit in the game.
