INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Hayes D. Maynard, 47, of Beauty, was arrested Monday in Beauty on a bench warrant for court. 

Lacy Scott, 57, of Lovely, was arrested Monday on Riverfront Road in Lovely on a bench warrant for court. Deputy Justin Bellamy made the arrest.

Zachary Rowe, 21, of Pikeville, was arrested Sunday at the Martin County Solar Farm in Pilgrim for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Deputy Bellamy responded to a call regarding individuals trespassing on side-by-sides. He found Rowe who appeared to be under the influence with slurred speech and red bloodshot eyes. The officer noted Rowe had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath.

Marissa Gibson, 31, of Sharpsburg, was arrested Saturday in Warfield on an indictment warrant out of Bath County charging her with first-degree robbery, giving officer false identifying information, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol), failure to wear seat belts, operating vehicle with expired operator’s license, license to be in possession. She was also arrested on bench warrants from Bath and Floyd counties. Deputy Reffett made the arrest.

Xena Bowen, 24, of Lovely, was arrested Saturday on Long Branch in Lovely for endangering the welfare of a minor, drug paraphernalia-buy/possession, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license, improper display of registration plates. Deputy Bellamy responded to a call about a domestic dispute at the Warfield IGA. The subjects, who witnesses described as a male with green hair and a female with orange hair, had left the scene before the officer arrived. The deputy located the female on Route 292 and conducted a traffic stop, reporting the suspect had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her breath, bloodshot eyes, and constricted pupils. According to the police report, the subject admitted to consuming alcohol. The deputy seized various drug paraphernalia that Bowen allegedly had inside her vehicle.

Three juveniles were in the vehicle with Bowen: ages 8 months, 8 years, and 6 years. The children were put in the custody of their grandmother.

James Kirk, 22, of Pikeville, was arrested Saturday at the Martin County Solar Project in Pilgrim for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Constable Bradford Preece reported that he received a call from the security guard at the solar plant stating several people were on side-by-sides trespassing on the solar property and drinking. Preece allegedly found Kirk passed out. He reported Kirk had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on his feet.

Gregory Alan Lilly, 54, of Inez, was arrested Sunday in Inez for disorderly conduct. Deputy Bellamy was called to Quail Hollow about a male subject trying to fight people. The officer stated Lilly became irate and started making unreasonable noises in front of everyone at the apartments.

Danielle Lee Haney, 38, of Job, was arrested Friday on a bench warrant. Deputy J.C. Kirk made the arrest.

Sally Carter-Grim, 59, of Warfield, was arrested Friday in Warfield on two bench warrants. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Ashley Nicole Miller, 37, of Inez, was arrested Friday at Zip Zone, Blacklog Road, on a bench warrant. Deputy Bellamy made the arrest.

Lindsey Cornette, 57, of Tomahawk, was arrested Friday in Debord on a parole violation. Bellamy made the arrest.

Crystal Johnson, 33, of Job, was arrested Friday on Doug Johnson Road in Inez for second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension. Johnson repeatedly told officers that wanted subject Douglas Palomino was not on the property, but officers discovered that he was there. Johnson admitted to having a 5-month relationship with him. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Douglas Palomino, 31, was arrested Friday on Doug Johnson Road in Inez on a fugitive from another state warrant, failure to comply with sex offender registration, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia buy/possession. Sheriff Kirk received a tip that Palomino was wanted and was lying about his identity. According to the police report, the suspect admitted he was lying about his name to his girlfriend. The sheriff discovered he was a registered sex offender wanted by authorities in Connecticut and had failed to register in Kentucky. He produced a small amount of marijuana and a pipe used to smoke pot.

Matthew Jefferson Chafin, 40, of Lovely, was arrested Thursday at the sheriff’s office on a bench warrant. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Larry Nicholas Goble, 39, of Inez, was arrested Thursday for violation of an emergency protective order or domestic violence order by the Kentucky State Police.

Titus James Sparks, 22, of Paintsville, was arrested April 17 at Inez Gun & Tackle for theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others under $500. Sparks stands accused of stealing $189 worth of merchandise from Inez Gun & Tackle. He allegedly put fishing lures in his pocket and several other items in a minnow bucket. According to Sheriff Kirk, Sparks told an employee at the shop and an auxiliary deputy that he knew he was stealing the items and had no intention of paying for them after he was caught.

Christopher Preece, 28, of Tomahawk, was arrested April 17 on a bench warrant.

Shawn Matthew Muncy, 37, of Pilgrim, was arrested April 17 in the sheriff’s office on a complaint warrant for violation of EPO/DVO. Deputy Bellamy made the arrest.

Christopher Lee Maynard, 41, of Lovely, was arrested April 16 on Little Peter Cave Road in Lovely for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury. Sheriff Kirk said Maynard assaulted his 11-year-old nephew after arguing with his father. The nephew stated he was trying to get his uncle to leave his papaw alone, and then Maynard hit him on the neck leaving a minor injury. Maynard allegedly admitted he had whipped his nephew. Maynard’s father, Dennis Maynard, said his son was drinking and wanting to fight. The sheriff reported that Chris Maynard had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and admitted he had been drinking.

Thomas Ray Goble, 57, of Debord, was arrested April 16 on a bench warrant for court.
