MCCARR — A 28-year-old man lost his life in a UTV accident Saturday in the McCarr community of Pike County.

Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call at 11:39 p.m. reporting a collision had occurred on State Highway 1056. Troopers from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.

The initial investigation indicated Dalton Mounts, 29 years old of Freeburn, was operating a Polaris Razor when the UTV exited the roadway and overturned. Michael Sincell, 28 years old of Freeburn, a passenger in the UTV, was pronounced deceased on-scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing by KSP Accident Reconstructionist, Detective Joshua Scott.

Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel and STAT Ambulance Service assisted Detective Scott on-scene.
