WYOMING COUNTY, W.Va. — The Lady Panthers of Tug Valley picked up another win April 18 over the Westside Renegades 7-4 in Wyoming County.
Tug Valley led 4-2 after two innings of play and added a couple of more runs in the fourth frame.
The Lady Panthers tacked on an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning to lead 7-2.
Westside’s comeback fell short as they plated two runs in the bottom of the final inning and Tug Valley took the road win.
Bailee Hall got the pitching win and helped her own cause with a home run. She did not allow any hits in the game but scored runs on errors. Hall struck out 11 Westside batters and only walked one.
Amelya Wellman, Hailey Newsome and Jessica Spaulding each had two hits for TVHS with one of Wellman’s hit being a triple.
Tailyn Russell, Megan Griffey and Makenna Osborne also added hits for Coach Rocky Hall’s squad. Muncy and Griffey both had a pair of RBIs to lead the Lady Panthers in that statistic. Tug Valley had 10 hits in the contest.
P. Shannon took the loss in the circle for the Lady Renegades.
