Janet Sue (Spence) Lemaster
1953—2024

Janet Sue “Jan” (Spence) Lemaster, 71, of Tomahawk, passed away April 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughters.

Born Feb. 16, 1953, in Tomahawk, she was the daughter of the late George and Nancy (Sites) Spence.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lemaster and two brothers, George Spence Jr. and Scotty Spence.

Jan was married to Larry Lemaster. Born to their union were two children: daughter Tina (Albert) Sexton of Paintsville and son Larry Jay (Sheila) Lemaster of Tomahawk. Jan also leaves behind five grandchildren, Cory (Jeana) Sexton, Isiah (Tionna) Sexton, LaJaya (James) Stacy, Haley (Wesley) Smith and George Lemaster; four great-grandchildren, Haven and Everly Sexton and Athena Moore and Bradley Smith; three brothers, Lesley (Charlene) Spence, Lonnie Spence and Elvis (Joanie) Spence; and four sisters, Daisy Slone, Sheila Fannin, Lisa Preston and Lori Preece.

Jan was a very loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 8, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, with Jimmy Price officiating. Burial was at the Spence Family Cemetery, Tomahawk, under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
