LOUISA — Woody and Bear’s House of Rhythm and Brews, a new venue offering live music, BBQ cuisine and affordable drinks, held its soft opening this past weekend in Louisa. The establishment is set for its grand opening Friday.

Local musicians Jason Jobe, Devin Moore and Phill Barnett performed during two nights of a soft opening this past weekend, previewing the live entertainment that will be a staple at the venue. The grand opening will feature performances by the Cornbread Orchestra, Phill Barnett and other artists.

The festivities will begin Friday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Louisa Mayor Harold Slone and Lawrence County Judge/Executive Phillip Carter will participate in the ceremony, marking the official launch of the venue.

The team at Woody and Bear’s expressed gratitude for the community’s support during the soft opening: “Next up is our grand opening starting April 5 at 11 a.m. with our ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Honorable Mayor Harold Slone and Judge Exec Phillip Carter along with the Woody and Bears House team. We also will have The Cornbread Orchestra in the House with their full band and Mr. Kenny Chaney leading the way into what’s gonna a sure sign of a good time at 7 p.m.”

The venue is positioned as a new entertainment and dining option in Louisa, contributing to the local economy and providing a gathering place for residents and visitors. It complements other community efforts to promote culture and tourism in eastern Kentucky.
