Vanessa Lynn (Muncy) Crum, 52, of Van Lear, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, in Pikeville.

She was born Jan. 28, 1972, in South Williamson to Ruby Jo Muncy and the late William “Blondie” Muncy.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her great-nephew, Parker Ray Cook-Smith.

Vanessa is survived by her mother, Ruby Jo Muncy of Inez; her son, Josh Loredo of Van Lear; sisters, Claudia (Earl) Cook of Inez and Michelle Muncy of Lovely; brothers, Phillip Muncy of Kermit, West Virginia, and Prentice Muncy of Lowmansville; her niece, Kendra (Billy) Smith of Debord; nephew, Courtland Cook of Lexington; and great-nieces, Karoline and Haileigh Smith. She is also survived by her loving companion of 20 years, Paul Crum; her best friend, who was more like family, Carol Mitchell; and her two cats, Sully and Dot.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, with Rick Osborne officiating. Burial was at the Cassell-Blankenship Cemetery in Inez. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
