Mary Elizabeth (Stapleton) Howell
1963—2024

Mary Elizabeth (Stapleton) Howell, 61, of Louisa, passed away March 10, 2024, at her residence.

Born Jan. 30, 1963, in Louisa, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nora Jean Stapleton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Stapleton.

Survivors include her husband, Frankie Howell; one son, Rocky (Crystal) Howell of Fallsburg; three brothers, Clarence Stapleton, Sammy Stapleton and Terry Stapleton, all of Louisa; and four sisters, Bonnie Meade, Nora Truitt and Alice Stapleton, all of Louisa, and Brenda Stapleton of Columbus, Ohio. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Cody Howell, Livvie Mabry and John Mabry.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Catalpa United Baptist Church in Louisa, with Tim Porter officiating. Burial will follow at the Howell Cemetery. Friends may visit the church beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
