Martin County star signs with Morehead

INEZ — Martin County High School senior point guard Brady Dingess has officially signed to play Division 1 basketball for Morehead State University.

Dingess announced his commitment on social media Monday and signed Tuesday afternoon at Martin County High School.

“Morehead State is a school I’ve dreamed about playing for, for a very long time,” Dingess said. “They offered me a full scholarship. . . . I’m 110 percent committed.”

After leading the Cardinals for four consecutive seasons, the 6-1 Dingess finished an incredible senior campaign among the top scorers in Kentucky, averaging 27 points per game and accumulating over 2,600 career points. He was named 15th Region All-Tournament, 15th Region Player of the Year, Mr. Kentucky Basketball candidate and Lexington Herald-Leader All-State.
