Frances Daniel
1946—2024

Frances Daniel, 78, of Tomahawk, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at Highlands Medical Center in Prestonsburg.

Born Feb. 6, 1946, in Mann, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Buster and Garnetta Few.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Daniel and four siblings, Dorthy Lucas, Tom Few, James Few and Alvin Few.

Survivors include Frances’ children, Danny (Norma Lisa) Daniel of Ashland, Timothy Daniel of Lawrenceburg, Shannon Daniel, Emily Daniel, both of Tomahawk and Christina Zeltwanger of Louisana; grandchildren, Holly Daniel of North Carolina, Bret Simmons of York, Pennsylvania, Kane (Brittany) Daniel of Greenup, Gatlin Daniel of Lawrenceburg and Trenton Henderson of Sandyhook; six great-grandchildren; and special niece and nephew, Brenda and Rusty Ascyue.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at the Tomahawk Freewill Baptist Church, with Kevin Collins and Jack Jarrell officiating. Burial was at the Daniel Cemetery in Tomahawk. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
