INEZ — Residents of Martin County are facing an unexpected water outage this evening following an emergency alert issued by the Martin County Water District at 4:25 p.m. The alert comes in response to an 8-inch main line break along Route 40.
The water district has confirmed that to facilitate these urgent repairs, sections of Route 40, also known as Blacklog Road, will be valved off. The area being isolated for repair extends between Giovanni’s restaurant to the Buck Creek Mountain.
Wolf Creek, Pigeon Roost and Meathouse communities will likely experience water outages or low water pressure as the repair work progresses.
MCWD has extended apologies to the affected residents for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen situation.
