Alvatine (Horn) Williams
1929—2024

Alvatine Williams, 94, of Inez, passed away Jan. 15, 2024 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

Born June 26, 1929 in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Bascom and Millie Harris Horn.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Williams; two sons, Eddie Williams and James Orson Williams; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Williams; and one son-in-law, Lonnie Osborne.

Survivors include her son, Gary (Phyllis) Williams of Inez; two daughters, Marcia (Rayne) Preece and Jane Osborne, both of Inez; daughter-in-law, Karen Williams; and one sister, Glendene Pack of Inez. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 at the Turkey Creek Church of the Nazarene, with Garrett Mills, Dwayne Mills and Derek Catron officiating. Burial was at the Ralph Williams Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
