Barbara Cassady
1926—2024

Barbara Cassady, 97, of Inez, passed away Jan. 3, 2024 at the Lower Cape Fear Life Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Born Dec. 20, 1926 in Pike County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Nichols and Nancy McCoy Nichols.

Barbara was a retired school teacher for the Martin County Board of Education.

A graveside service was conducted Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 at the Saltwell Cemetery in Inez. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. The date and location will be announced at a later time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
