Sandra Parsley

1967—2023

Sandra Parsley, 56, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully after suffering a lingering illness. She passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at Avent Health in Ormond Beach, with her family beside her.

Born May 31, 1967, in Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Wanda Fitch Chafin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Tyler Parsley.

Sandra loved to sing, teach the Bible, truly loved God, and would witness to anyone when the occasion would present itself. She was a Bible teacher and attended the Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach.

Survivors include her spouse of 34 years, Melvin Parsley, as well as her children, Amy (Matthew) Morris of Canada and Zachary and Lora Parsley of Ashland; eight grandchildren, Kirstin, MaKylie, Kyira, Jordan, Jasmine, Jace, Taylor and Brookelyn. Sandra is also survived by her siblings, Julie (Billie) Pack of Nolan, West Virginia, and Clintina (Steven) McGraw of Hurricane, West Virginia; brother-in-law, John Parsley of Ashland; and her fur baby, Pookie.

A graveside service was conducted Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, with Pastor Walter Marcum officiating. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
