Awards ceremony tickets on sale at MAC

PRESTONSBURG — Public voting officially opened Dec. 1 and will conclude at 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31 for the 2024 Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards.
Enthusiasts can vote for their favorite performers, artists, educators and productions that have left a lasting impact on the region’s cultural landscape.

The Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards cover a wide spectrum of categories, from outstanding educators to captivating musical and artistic productions. Organizers say the aim is to spotlight the diversity and richness of the cultural landscape in the Appalachians while recognizing excellence across the various categories.
“We are excited to open the doors to the public once again and are excited for them to be an integral part of the celebration,” said Jill Hamlin, assistant director of Fine Arts for Big Sandy Community and Technical College. “Public voting adds an extra layer of excitement and inclusivity to the awards, allowing everyone to champion the artists and entertainers who have touched their lives.”
Winners will be unveiled during the Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards ceremony March 16, 2024, at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg. Red carpet starts at 6 p.m. and showtime is 7 p.m.
Tickets for the ceremony are on sale at macarts.com, or you can call 606-886-2623 or 888-MAC-ARTS. Standards seats are available: lower level $40 and upper level $30. The VIP package is $60 and includes a star-studded red carpet entrance and a ticket to the APPY after-party.
