Roy Jude
1959—2023

Roy Jude of Fort Gay, West Virginia, passed away at his home Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023.

Born April 14, 1959, in Louisa, he was the son of the late Russell Jude and Edith Fletcher Jude.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings, Michael “Chopper” Jude, Tommy Jude, Chris Jude and Judy May Runyon.

Roy is survived by one son, Michael Shane Bowen and his wife, Sasha of Fallsburg; three granddaughters, Addison Bowen, Autumn Bowen and Marrena Dotson; and his only grandson, his road partner, Rox Bowen. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He is also survived by two siblings, Phillip Jude of Ulysses and Debbie Mayhan of Lowmansville; a special friend, Polly Robertson; and a host of nieces and nephews, Buddy Jude, John Jude, Brittany Mullett, James Allen Jude, Renee Jude, Crystal Jude, Phillip Michael Jude, Larissa Jude, Chester Runyon and Ashley Runyon.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, at the Buck Branch United Baptist Church in Pilgrim, with Buddy Stacy and Dabo Stacy officiating. Burial was at the Jude-Fletcher Cemetery on Big Peter Cave. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
