INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:
Richard Holiday, 39, of Debord, was arrested Monday at the U.S. Penitentiary Big Sandy in Debord on a fugitive from another state warrant. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.
Jonathan Jackson, 35, of Lovely, was arrested Monday in Inez on a bench warrant for district court. Deputy Chris Sesco made the arrest.
Kathern Stepp, 42, of Inez, was arrested Saturday at Sycamore Estates in Inez for assault, fourth degree (minor injury). Deputy Sesco received a call saying Stepp assaulted Deanna Wiley. Stepp allegedly told the officer that she struck Wiley with a closed fist several times, causing visible injuries to Wiley’s head and face.
Rachel Daniels, 36, of Inez, was arrested Nov. 8 by KSP Trooper Spencer for failure to appear.
Claude M. Spence, 41, of Inez, was arrested Nov. 8 in Inez for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury, public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and resisting arrest. Deputy Kidd was called to the Little Country Market on Old Route 3 for a disturbance in progress. Upon his arrival, the officer observed Spence agitated and displaying signs of being under the influence. Spence would not comply with verbal commands and refused to submit to hand restraints. A female victim was on the scene with scratches, cuts and discoloration on her hand. Spence’s father was also on the scene and had a scratch that was bleeding on his face. Both alleged victims stated they received the injuries during a scuffle trying to get Spence to leave the store. After being removed from the scene, Spence allegedly admitted to using meth.
Deanna Wiley, 24, of Inez, was arrested Nov. 8 at Quail Hollow Apartments in Inez for possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a minor. Deputy Kidd stopped Wiley with two small children on an ATV with no helmets, proper clothing or shoes. Wiley allegedly stated she had marijuana and suboxone in the ATV. The officer contacted Social Services.
Kristi Fletcher, 34, of Inez, was arrested Nov. 7 on a bench warrant for court. Deputy Sesco made the arrest.
Scottie Thompson, 36, of Warfield, was arrested Nov. 7 in Warfield on an indictment warrant. Kidd made the arrest.
