Kayla Lenell Smith
1989—2023

Kayla Lenell Smith, 34, of Louisa, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 11, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Kayla was born April 19, 1989, to Kim and Patrick Haney of Louisa and Paul Smith of California.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Joshua Haney of Louisa, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends that she loved dearly.

Kayla was a member of the Inez Freewill Baptist Church, where she truly loved her church family. She was an inspiration to so many that she met in her short lifetime. She was a true prayer warrior and so enjoyed discussing the Lord with family, friends and even complete strangers that she met along the way.

Kayla always loved to travel and planned where she would be eating next. She had several pets but loved all animals. She learned to crochet by joining a group of ladies she met online from the United Kingdom.

Kayla was loved more than Hershey Kisses, which brought a smile to her face.

Services will be conducted in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. A private memorial service will be held for Kayla at a later date.
