Doris Evelyn Copley

1946—2023

Doris Evelyn Copley, 77, of Beauty, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving sons at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

Born March 23, 1946, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Gladys (Pinson) Osborne. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin Clay Copley Sr., and five brothers, Thurman Osborne, Edward Osborne, David Osborne, Ronnie Osborne and Lonnie Osborne. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Deloris Sartin and Oretha May Osborne.

Doris is survived by her sons, Franklin Clay Copley Jr. of Beauty (Patricia McCoy, Inez) and Kevin (Sheena) Copley of Lovely, and her sister, Kathy Patrick, of Ashland. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kyrsten Paige Copley (Eric Zimerman) of Waverly, Ohio, Sheridan (Dylan) Ison of Chillicothe, Ohio, Tyson Gage Copley of Ashland and Justin Ryan Copley of Inez; and her great-grandchildren, Atalaya Faith Ison, Magnolia Hope Ison and Scottlyn Jayne Copley. Doris leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends and a special family friend, Lynn Osborn.

Doris was a devoted member of Beauty Church of Christ and a dedicated mother and wife who adored her family, always making sure to show her love to them endlessly.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 6, at Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield, with John Jude officiating. Burial was at the Osborne-Pinson Cemetery on Albert Pinson Drive in Inez. Arrangments are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
