To what extent have you been a part of the local government in Martin County?
I have served as a council member and the mayor in the City of Warfield for 28 years. I have also served on several city, county and area boards.
What do you believe to be the top three issues affecting Martin County?
•Water
•Joblessness
•Finishing highway to Warfield
If elected, what changes/goals would you advocate and why?
Work to fix our water and sewer problems, bring more jobs, and increase activities for our kids.

I have 28 years combined experience through my positions as council member and mayor of Warfield, dealing with government issues in the county and statewide.
I will work for and with you, the people in my district, to keep and maintain our roads, bring better drinking water and fix our current sewage situation.
I will work to get the four-lane extended to Warfield, where we would be more connected to the rest of the county.
I have always been a public servant working for the people. If elected, I would continue to work for the good of our community.
I serve and have served on several boards throughout the years:
Warfield City Hall — Distribution of funds, everyday running of the city, overseeing city workers in maintaining the roads (snow removal and debris removal), grass and brush cutting along roadways, decorating for holidays, trash pickup, hosting Christmas and Easter programs attracting hundreds.
Big Sandy Area Development District Board — Distribution of government grant monies.
Community Action Program — Worked with feeding and transportation programs for the elderly.
Warfield Fire Department Board — Approval of spending monies and everyday upkeep of the firehouse.
Warfield Liberty Fest — Entertainment, policing, money management, promoting tourism.
Other interests:
Martin County Little League — Coach boys baseball and girls softball.
Warfield Elementary — Coach boys and girls basketball.
Warfield Middle School — Equipment manager, concession manager, sideline coach for football.
Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church — Serve as a deacon. I work and share the responsibility of our pastor. We work with our youth groups, the elderly and the poor in our community.
Warfield Fire Department volunteer firefighter — Active member from age 18 to 37.
As your magistrate of District 5, I will work for “YOU” and the betterment of our community.
I will listen to your problems and try my best to fix them.
