INEZ — Plans for the 2023 annual Christmas in the Mountains festival are quickly shaping up. Event organizers wish to remind those interested in setting up as a vendor Dec. 1 and 2 that time is running out to reserve a spot and the list of paid vendors is on its way to being filled.
Lisa Mollett, Inez City Clerk, who agreed to oversee the vendor registration process for this year’s festival, said only three food vendor slots remain.
“We decided to limit the number of food truck vendors to 12 this year,” explained Mollett. “To date, we have nine paid reservations and will only accept three more.”
Those selling food products who have reserved a space include Angie’s Blooming Onions & More, JK Bite Box, County Fair, Josh Cassady’s BBQ, The Kettle Corn Trailer, Sugar Momma’s, Juanita Porter’s Freeze Dried Candy, Iced Up, and William and Lisa Workman.
The price for food vendors is $50 per day, with the option to set up on both Friday and Saturday during this year’s festival.
Mollett said nine non-food booths and four informational booths have reserved spots. Non-food spots are $25 for Saturday only or $35 for Friday evening and Saturday. Informational booths carry a cost of $10 per day.
Non-food booths that have reserved their space include Anna J. Horn/Widow’s Heart, Subhuman Sounds, All Stitched Up, JoAnn Horn (sewing projects), Kenzie Lynn Photography, Misfit Custom Designs, Jessie Lea’s Crochet, Catchin’ a Dream, and Tina’s Treasures.
“We can still accommodate several more non-food vendors,” said Mollett. “They do need, however, to contact me to make payment as soon as possible.”
Vendors can pay for their spots by stopping at Inez City Hall or calling Mollett at 606-298-4602. They can also pay the reservation fees through PayPal CITMfunds@gmail.com. Those who choose to use PayPal should state what the payment is for in the memo space.
Linda Webb, an organizer of the popular event, is confident the 2023 CITM festival will offer a variety of vendors with food, treats, crafts, merchandise and services to please young and old alike.
“We would love to have you become a part of this wonderful festival as we celebrate the true reason for the season and honor the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” Webb said. “Come and experience the best that Inez and our county have to offer.”
