Joanne (Stepp) Vanhoose
1953—2023

Joanne (Stepp) Vanhoose, age 70, of Inez, passed away at her home Oct. 19, 2023, at 9 a.m.

She was born May 13, 1953.

Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Vanhoose and her son, Ovie Stepp.

She leaves behind three daughters, Rose Dingess of Hode, Priscilla Stepp of Hagerhill and Connie Osborne of Ulysses; her baby, Austin Butcher; a very dear friend, Mary Bowen; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three sisters, Jeanetta Maynard of Inez, Lucy Britton of Ohio and Earnestine Luster of Columbus, Ohio, and one brother, Bobby Gene Stepp of Inez.

Joanne was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, with Lonnie Ratliff and Michael Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at the Vanhoose Cemetery on Johnson Bottom Road, Inez.

Friends may visit the funeral home Saturday and Sunday from 5-9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral costs. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
