Martin County’s Devan Maynard is the Mountain Citizen Player of the Week.

Maynard scored three touchdowns, amassing 130 total yards on nine carries to go with his two-point conversion Friday in Martin County’s win over Prestonsburg.

With 41 seconds left in the first half, Maynard took off on a jet sweep for a 41-yard touchdown run.

In the third quarter, the junior WR dazzled again as he took the snap in the wildcat formation and went 39 yards untouched. He later added his third touchdown on an 11-yard run.

Maynard currently leads his team in receiving with 207 yards on nine receptions.
