Marlene Meddings
1977—2023

Marlene Meddings, 46, of Dunlow, formerly of Webb, passed away and was relieved of her worldly sufferings Friday, Sept. 22, 2023.

Born March 21, 1977, in Louisa, she was the daughter of the late Ira Ray Chaffin and Vickie Johnson Chaffin.

She is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Delmer Pete and Anna Jo Meddings, an infant sister, a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

She was a Christian and homemaker.

Survivors include Marlene’s spouse of 32 years, Alvie Meddings Sr., son Alvie Jr. (Marie) Meddings of Webb, and three grandchildren, Andrew Meddings, Hunter Tomblin and Robert Tomblin. Additional survivors include her brother, Thomas Ray (Lynn) Chaffin of Webb; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Lee) Wallace, Thomas Chaffin Jr., Terry Stamper, Kayley Cripe, Stephen (Melanie) Cripe; great-nieces, Vara Cripe, Arizona Wallace and Chevy Wallace; and special aunt, Doris Thompson.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at the Webb Freewill Baptist Church, with Tommy Meddings officiating. Burial was in the Meddings Cemetery in Radnor. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
