Barbara Mullins
1953—2023

Barbara Mullins, 70, of Big Branch Road, Pikeville, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 18, 2023, at her home.

Born Aug. 20, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Janette Garrett Underwood Sorrow. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Frank Sorrow; her grandson, Brent James Mullins; and three brothers and one sister.

Barb was a security guard for the Pinkerton Company for years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Larry Dean Mullins, whom she married March 29, 1969. Additional survivors include her children, Frank (Leigh Ann) Mullins of Louisa, Janette “Cis” Lucille (Arthur) Staton of Pikeville, Deanna (Wayne) Stroud of Michie, Tennesee, and Josh (Erynne) Mullins of Florence; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two siblings, Ralph Eugene Underwood of Anne Arbor, Michigan, and Aloma Sue Demchuk of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 22, 2023, at the Freedom Bible Church, with Pastor Roger Ratliff, Dennis Young and Darrell Combs officiating. Burial was in the Mullins-Sorrow Cemetery on Big Branch Road, Pikeville. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
