Loretta Faye Prince Haney
1943—2023

Loretta Faye Prince Haney, 80, of Dunlow, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 17, 2023, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Kentucky.

Born March 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jesse James Prince and Bethanna Jane (Woodrow) Prince. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Owen Haney Jr.; her sister, Myrtle Bryson of Ohio; and brothers, Charles (Vada), Wilson (Ethel), Freddie (Eula), Frank (who is survived by his wife, Louise), Carl (Lois), Mack (Causby), and infant brother Jesse.

Loretta was a Christian and attended Silver Creek Church when she was able.

Survivors include her children, Rose Ferguson, Owen Jay (April) Haney, Debbie (Bill) Evans and Mike (Crystal) Haney; two precious brothers, Earl (Karen) Prince and J.D. (Myrtie) Prince; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends. (As Mammaw would say, “Take care of the babies.”)

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at the Silver Creek Church in Crum, with Luke Prince officiating. Burial was in the Haney Cemetery in Dunlow. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
