CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Two Inez students collected winning medals Friday in tournaments at the Charleston Tennis Club.

Remy Williams, a second-grade student at Inez Elementary School, brought home the gold for Martin County in the girls’ tournament. She went 3-0 on the day, defeating her opponents in the first match 2-1, the second match 5-1 and the third match 4-3.

Blaine Williams, a fourth-grade student at IES, was 3-1 for the day. He won his first match 4-2, lost his second match 3-4, and rebounded to win his third match 6-0 and fourth match 6-1. He brought home the first-place medal in his division.
