Donald E. Allen

1960—2023

Donald E. Allen, age 63, of Inez, passed away Sept. 7, 2023, at Community Hospice in Ashland.

Born June 28, 1960, in Williamson, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ben Allen Sr. and Effie Elizabeth Litton Allen. In addition to his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by four brothers, Ben Allen Jr., Danny Joe Allen, Gary Lee Allen and Archie Ray Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Maher Allen; one son, James Benjamin Allen of Inez; one daughter, Cassandra Allen of Lowmansville; three brothers, Roy (Sue Mills) Allen of Wittensville, Tommy Dale (Kathy) Allen of Ulysses and Randy (Kim) Allen of Inez; and three sisters, Betty Elizabeth Jaramillo of Lexington, Charlotta Allen of Louisa and Darlene Allen (Ray) Lowe of Ashland. One grandchild, Blake Fletcher, also survives.

Following visitation at the Crum Funeral Home, there was a graveside service Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at the Allen Cemetery, with James Maynard officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
