Michael told the Mountain Citizen that his grandfather, Terry, is his greatest inspiration.

“He is the perfect example of what a loving and giving person should be,” Michael said. “He is truly a great man.”

Michael’s favorite things about Martin County are the bonds he has formed with his teammates, coaches and classmates.

He offers a word of advice to upcoming players: “Work hard and enjoy the sports you are playing. Appreciate every opportunity you get.”
