Jayde Preece nicknamed Nickel

Senior Jayde Preece (#15) lives in Inez and has played soccer for six years. She is the center defender for Martin County.

Jayde’s hobbies include shopping and participating in FCCLA and HOSA.

One of Jayde’s accomplishments is being named vice president of FCCLA.

One of Jayde’s pregame rituals is always putting a nickel in her soccer cleat for good luck.

Her plans after high school include attending college to become a dental hygienist. She sees herself working as a dental hygienist and married with a family in 20 years.

Jayde loves Texas Roadhouse, her favorite food is chicken alfredo, her favorite place to be is the beach, and her favorite show is “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”

If Jayde had to pick one superhero character she would pick Wonder Woman.

If blessed with $10 million, Jayde would donate it to a Children’s Hospital if she didn’t need it.

Jayde would like to give a shoutout to her mom and dad for always pushing her to be her best and never giving up, and her sister for always believing in her and being her best friend.

Sophie McCoy

Sophie McCoy (#21) lives in Inez and has played soccer for 15 years. She plays the position of striker for the Martin County Lady Cards. Sophie’s pregame ritual is to eat a hot dog before warmups.

Sophie’s accomplishments include All-District three years and First Team All-Region. She was recently named the JAG Kentucky state president.

Her hobbies include playing sports, spending time with friends, reading and tanning.

Sophie also plays basketball for the Lady Cards and is active in JAG.

You might find Sophie dining at any steakhouse on her favorite food – ribeye steak.

The beach is Sophie’s place to visit.

After high school she plans on attending college and working in the medical field. She hopes to be working in the medical field and have a family of her own 20 years from now.

Sophie’s favorite superhero is her mom. Her favorite movies and shows are “Shameless,” “The Notebook,” “Bridgerton” and “Euphoria.”

If Sophie had $10 million she would keep some, give some to her family and donate to the poor.

Sophie would like to give a shoutout to her mom and dad for always supporting her and making sure she plays her best and her friends Brayden and Kennadi for keeping her going all the time.

Lena Hale

Senior Lena Hale (#13) has played soccer for 14 years. Lena plays the attacking mid position for the Lady Cardinals.

Lena’s accomplishments include First Team All-Region 21, 23, All-District 20-23 and team captain for the Martin County Lady Cards in 21-23.

Her hobbies include watching sports and playing with her dog. Lena also plays softball.

You might find Lena eating out at Made to Crave, her favorite restaurant. Her favorite is spaghetti. Her favorite place to visit is the beach.

Lena plans on attending college and pursuing a degree in biology. In 20 years she sees herself traveling.

A fun fact about Lena is that she speaks Latin dialect fluently.

Lena’s favorite shows and movies are “Captain America” and “Winter Soldier.” If Lena could be any superhero she would be Black Panther.

If she had $10 million she would travel the world.

Caitlyn Horn, nicknamed Little C

Senior Caitlyn Horn (#8) lives in Inez and plays the center defender position for the Lady Cards. She has played soccer since she was 4 years old for a total of 13 years.

Caitlyn’s pregame ritual is not eating a lot so she won’t throw up.

Caitlyn’s accomplishments include Honorable Mention in 2021, Second Team All-Region 2020 and 2022.

Some of her hobbies include tennis and FBLA.

You might find Caitlyn at Texas Roadhouse enjoying her favorite food – steak. Her favorite place to visit is the beach. Caitlyn plans to attend college and become an ultrasound tech. She hopes to be enjoying a rewarding career, married with a family 20 years from now.

A fun fact about Caitlyn is when she got excited as a small child she twirled her feet.

Caitlyn’s favorite movie is “Legally Blonde.” If she could be any superhero she would be Supergirl. If she had $10 million she would set her parents up so they would not have to work anymore.

Caitlyn wants to give a shoutout to her parents for always supporting her and cheering her on and to coaches Steven Gauze and Marcella for all they have done.

Addison Duncan, nicknamed addidaddychickenpatty

Addison Duncan (#4) lives in Inez and plays the goalie position for the Lady Cardinals. She has played soccer for the last four years.

Addison’s accomplishments include being on the honor roll.

Her hobbies include reading, painting, and spending time with family and friends.

Addison is also a member of the softball team, dance team, pep club and drama club.

You might find Addison at Texas Roadhouse enjoying her favorite meal – fried chicken.

Addison’s favorite place to visit is her grandparents’ house and the beach.

After graduation Addison plans to attend the University of Kentucky and become an occupational therapist. She sees herself owning a home and having a successful career 20 years from now.

Addison’s favorite show is the “Gilmore Girls.” If she could pick one superhero it would be Flash.

If she had $10 million she would go on a big shopping trip and open her own store.

Ashdon Kerr, nicknamed Ash

Ashdon Kerr (#12) has played soccer for three years. She plays center defender and defensive mid for the Martin County Lady Cardinals.

Ashdon’s hobbies include reading, swimming, tanning and hanging with friends.

Ashdon is a member of the Martin County dance team and also does competitive dance at Dance Etc.

You might find Ashdon eating out at her favorite restaurant, Chick-Fil-a, or the local Mexican restaurant, enjoying her favorite dish, pollo bandito.

Ashdon’s favorite place to visit is the beach.

After graduation Ashdon plans to go to medical school to become a surgeon. In 20 years she hopes to be working and having a family.

Ashdon’s favorite movie is the “Hunger Games” series. If she could pick one superhero to be it would be Spiderman. If blessed with $10 million Ashdon would save some for college and then buy a bunch of things.

Ashdon wishes to give a shoutout to her mom, dad, sister, mamaw and grandad. She says she wouldn’t be who she is today without all of them. “I love them.”

Before a big game Ashdon likes to drink a bunch of water and listen to music to get pumped up.

Hailey Damron

Hailey Damron (#5) has played soccer for four years and has wing position duties for the Lady Cardinals.

Hailey’s accomplishments include being named Honorable Mention All-District two times.

Her hobbies include hanging out with friends and her boyfriend.

Hailey also plays on the Lady Cardinals tennis team, is a member of the dance team, and is very active in the pep club.

Hailey’s plans after high school are to go to college and pursue a nursing career. In 20 years Haley hopes to be married with two children and have a great job.

Aaliyah Cline,nicknamed Elle or Bingbong

Aaliyah Cline (#7) has played soccer for four years. She plays the position of wing and defender for the Martin County Lady Cards.

Aaliyah’s hobbies include listening to music with her friends and watching sunsets. Aaliyah is also a dance team member and plays tennis.

After graduation, Aaliyah plans on attending the University of Tennessee to study nursing. In 20 years, Aaliyah hopes to be rich and married with a family.

Katie Maynard

Katie Maynard has played soccer for one year and plays the wing position.

Katie’s hobbies include swimming and hanging out with friends.

Tamara Workman (#2) lives in Warfield and has played soccer for three years. She holds down the wing defender position for the Lady Cards.

Her favorite pregame ritual is listening to “Are You Ready For It” by Taylor Swift on the way to the game.

Tamara’s accomplishments include being named Honorable Mention last season.

Tamara’s hobbies include shopping, watching movies and listening to Taylor Swift.

You might find Tamara hanging out at Olive Garden, her favorite restaurant. Her favorite food is chicken and dumplings.

Tamara is also a member of JAG, pep club, yearbook, dance and tennis.

After graduation Tamara plans to attend college and become a dentist. In 20 years she hopes to be living in Tennessee with her family.
