Darlene Johnson New, 56, of Lovely, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Tug Valley ARH Medical Center.

She was born July 1, 1967, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Ruth Ann Alwell and Thomas Earl Johnson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Joe Johnson.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Ernest New of Lovely; three children, Tabitha Watson, Melissa Watson and Joey Watson, all of Mississippi; and three siblings, Lori Dials, David Johnson and Tom Johnson.

There will be a graveside service at noon Monday, July 31, 2023, at the New Family Cemetery in Naugatuck, West Virginia. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
