CITIZEN STAFF REPORT
INEZ — The countdown is on for the 26th annual Harvest Festival in Inez, with vendor applications due by Sept. 1. Applications can be downloaded and printed from the Martin County Harvest Fest Facebook page or picked up from the Martin County PVA office.
Taking place on Sept. 15 and 16 in downtown Inez, the festival offers opportunities for craft and non-food retail vendors. For a fee of $40, vendors can secure a 10’x10’ space, while information booths are available for $10. Payment should be made to the Kiwanis Club of Greater Martin County and sent to P.O. Box 1188, Inez, KY 41224.
Alternatively, vendors may pay in cash in person.
Interested parties can contact Lana Young at the Martin County PVA office at 606-298-2807 for more information, Monday through Friday.
Vendors should come equipped with their tables, chairs, tents and additional lighting for tents, which can be set up before 11 a.m. on Sept. 15. There is also the option to set up tents and tables on the evening of Sept. 14. However, please note that while a night watchman will be provided Sept. 15, no overnight security will be available Sept. 14.
Vendors will not be permitted to set up or move during the festival. Once the festival concludes, the Kiwanis Club kindly requests that vendors leave their areas in acceptable condition.
Please note that the festival will not provide extension cords, multi-strips, water hoses, carts or similar equipment. Vendors are responsible for bringing everything needed to connect to the electrical supply. Should there be any electrical issues, vendors should contact festival coordinators, who will reach out to an electrician.
The sale of certain items is prohibited during the festival. This includes items bearing the Kiwanis or Harvest Festival logo or the names of entertainers performing at the festival; alcohol, tobacco or firearms of any kind; gambling devices; fireworks; spray paint for hair, crazy string, etc.; and any item containing offensive language or artwork.
