Clifford Paul Corns
1947—2023
Clifford Paul Corns, 76, of Louisa, formerly of Crum, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 13, 2023.
Clifford gave his life to the Lord back several weeks ago in order to prepare for this day, which made a drastic change in his life.
He was born July 11, 1947, in Paintsville, Kentucky. After graduating from Crum High School in 1967, Clifford served honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Wayne County State Road and with PPG in Indiana. Clifford then returned home to West Virginia and was employed by Columbia Energy Group, from which he retired after 24 years of service.
Clifford was always ready and willing to help those in need.
He enjoyed playing rummy and watching “Gunsmoke,” “Tales of Wells Fargo,” and “WWE Wrestling” during his time of leisure. He loved watching Dr. Charles Stanley and listening to singing.
His loving parents, Minnie Stacy Corns and Willie Corns, preceded him in death.
Clifford is survived by his loving sister, Janice Corns and only niece, Moriah Corns-Stanley, who he adored and cherished. A host of family and friends also survive him.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 17, 2023, with Brother John Taylor and Brother Joe Mullins officiating. Burial was at the Mount View Memory Gardens in Maher. Travis Marcum, Tivis Alley, Michael Alley, Lyle Newsome, Don Little and Ben Taylor served as pallbearers. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
